Louise Armitage-about me

Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, I completed an education degree in the early 80’s, taught for a number of years, then worked as marketing officer/manager in several cultural & tourism institutions.

My natural medicine studies started seriously in the1990’s commencing with naturopathic/homoeopathic studies, then an Advanced Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine through the Adelaide Training College of Complementary Medicine. Alongside this, I completed a Certificate in Bowen Therapy (Bowtech) and later the Diploma course.

Traditional homeopathy based solidly on Samuel Hahnemann’s work underpins my homoeopathic training and complementing this is training in Homeopathic Facial Analysis (HFA) through the Victorian College of Classical Homoeopathy in Melbourne, Australia.

My training in the Bowen Technique is in the Bowtech interpretation and my other Bowen training includes ‘Mind Body Bowen’ developed by Anne Schubert and Margaret Spicer.

As well using my clinical skills- and bringing a good wad of what may be called the ‘wisdom of life experience’ - to the table, my focus includes:

• helping people to make changes to support better health using practical, collaborative approaches they can work with-(hopefully for the long term !)- as well as working in with other health-care professionals as necessary and


• as a primary interest of mine is the connection between our mind and body in healing, helping those who want to explore and understand some of the ‘bigger picture’ influences that may possibly be undermining their wellbeing such as stress, emotional triggers, recurring life/health patterns and their own ‘mind /body’ health connections.
